About Namabharat
Namabharat exists to explain Hindu life clearly, faithfully, and in plain English, for anyone who wants to understand it, including the millions who carry the tradition far from where it began.
It is written by someone who grew up within this tradition and holds it in deep reverence. That reverence is the reason for the care taken here. Every page tries to get the facts right, to name where practice differs by region or family, and to say plainly when scholarship is unsettled rather than pretend to a certainty that does not exist.
Where scripture is quoted, the words are given as they have come down to us, from sources in the public domain, never paraphrased into something they are not. The aim is simple: to be a place you can trust, that explains without preaching and informs without selling you a belief.
